These days, no cheese plate is complete without good marmalades, preferably homemade. Like red wine and steak, figs and cheese are a divine match, "made in foodie heaven". The sweet acidity of figs cuts through creamy cheeses like brie and camembert while balancing sharply flavored cheeses like cheddar and parmesan.

Figs are sweet and juicy to varying degrees and are therefore excellent in a number of different desserts. Together with smoked ham, they also make a delicious starter.
In ancient times, figs were a good source of energy for pilgrims and soldiers around the entire Mediterranean. It is not surprising since they are rich in carbohydrates (calories!), minerals and vitamins. These days, Ficus carica fruits, which are related to the mulberry, mainly come from Turkey, Greece, Spain, France, the Middle East, California and South Africa.
We use organic sun-dried figs. Our figs are grown in western Turkey. As the fig ripens, it loses moisture, shrivels and falls from the tree. There it is left to dry in the sun for 4-5 days before being harvested by hand. Naturally sweet and guaranteed to taste good.

Walnuts . This earthy, less oily nut is great with aged cheddar. It is also a perfect match for sheep, goat or mixed milk cheeses. And if you like things a little sharp, walnuts are incredible with blue cheese — especially when covered in honey.
