This newly created work is delicately executed according to all the rules of art. Made from elderberries grown in-house and framed by the food artist at Sörgården Måla, the work has its own expression, with a signature of fruit wrapped in light and soft acidity. Sweetness and freshness play awkwardly like outer children in spring gear. This is a work of art that pleases both the palate and the eye. It is a delicacy to enjoy, admire and remember. A true classic in its own right. Thank you Sörgården Måla for this unique experience.

A wonderful elderberry jam, like a dark shiny gem, this tasty treat is made with elderberries and real vanilla. Hmm! A clear and lovely taste of greenery and forest on the palate. A rich taste of elderberry, which reminds a little of blackberry in taste and texture . Tastes just as well with white cheeses and ice cream as with toast. Appreciated by adults and children alike! Highly recommended.

Like a hazy dawn, this liquid essence flourishes and as disappearing as a day dragonfly, this easy-to-mouth liquid sweeps down into the domains of the throat.

True elderberry which is a large shrub that blooms in June and July and has flat large clusters of white flowers with five sepals, five petals, five free stamens with yellow anthers. The flowers have a strong sweet smell of elder. If you let the flowers remain, then first red then black berries are produced at the end of July and August, the berries are somewhat reminiscent of blackberries in taste and color.

Elderberry is one of the most common medicinal plants in the world.

Traditionally, Native Americans in America used it to treat infections, while the ancient Egyptians used it to improve their skin color and heal burns. It is still collected and used in folk medicine across many parts of Europe.

Today, elder is most often taken as a supplement to treat cold and flu symptoms. However, raw berries, bark and leaves from the plant are also known to be toxic and cause stomach problems.

It is the elder's black berries that have given it its scientific name, Sambucus nigra. You have to fight against the birds that quickly clear the bunches, and they quickly disappear. Elderberries contain a lot of vitamin C and are often used to relieve colds and fevers. They are mildly laxative, diaphoretic and diuretic. They should therefore only be eaten raw in small quantities. You can dry them to use in a smoothie and then give the immune system a kick. Particularly effective for colds with coughs and strengthening the immune system. Elderberry has long been used as a home remedy to ward off colds and flu. Was so glad we had it at home last winter when the wife got a bad cough. Take a tablespoon when you feel a cold coming on. Keep in mind that the berries discolour heavily, so be careful of your clothes.
